Today in motorcycle history, December 8, 1972







  Australian Speedway 'Legend' Jack Biggs is killed when he crashes his 500cc JAP machine on Bendigo's (Victoria) Golden City Speedway.  It was the same bike he'd been racing for twenty-four years.
